Reimagine Me Studios - Bill Stevens

We are thrilled to welcome Bill Stevens, of Reimagine Me Studios, Scottsdale, AZ, as our official Workshop Instructor at Red Bench™ Photo Studio, Jerome, AZ. Bill comes to us with a wealth of knowledge in the photography field, along with some of the most talented models in the Phoenix area.

Photographers, mark your calendars:  Saturday, July 11th, from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., we are hosting Bill's first workshop with the fabulous model, Katisha. 

About the Photographer:

I am a surgeon by day, and a photographer by night, weekends, and any other free moment. And crazy as it sounds, the two fields are metaphysically similar. Both are a blending of art and science. A surgeon who knows biology and technique, but does not know how to share his or her humanity is unable to truly help patients heal. A photographer who understands the physics of light and aperture, but does not connect with their subject creates only soulless images. The biggest difference is that usually, re-shoots are less problematic that a do-over operation!

​My life as a photographer began in earnest about 4 or 5 years ago. I had "dabbled" before that, but never took this art form seriously until then. I now appreciate the complexity and elegant simplicity of this art form. I think it is best summarized by Lisette Model, who said, "Photography is the easiest art, which perhaps makes it the hardest." Our workshop at Red Bench will explore the complexity and elegant simplicity of light and composition, blend art and science, and endeavor to tell nuanced stories with a single image.
